WHY DOES THE USA CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE  DAY ON THE 4TH OF JULY?

The 2nd of July 245 years ago representatives from 13 North American colonies of the kingdom of Great Britain voted to break their bonds with the mother country and its crown.However, it was two days after it, the 4th of July, when the Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson,was signed and their decision was announced to the whole world, forming the United States of America.

From that day in 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence with fireworks, parades and barbecues.
